For now, this is a statement for my youtube channel in preparation for going over my new book Introducing Pan-Dialectical Materialism [IPDM]. One topic the book keeps coming back to (and treats very seriously) is sexual harassment. This is because we live in what we could call a sexual harassment culture. No use denying it! “Yes! Of! Course we does!,” as Kesha says. Sexual harassment culture is an aspect of what we could (and many do) call “rape culture.” Kesha, for example, knows this very well! Knows all about it! We could say she’s an expert on it! At the end of the first chapter of IPDM (“The Metaphysical Spiral Staircase of Development”), I admit that I have, in the past, committed sexual harassment. And we then discuss what it took for me to stop doing that, and how we can combat it in the future. And while we don’t necessarily define “sexual harassment” (bit of a yawn, tbh—and, further tbh, makes it too easy for people to wriggle their way out of accountability for it), we identify a few examples of it in the book that we should all be able to agree on!
