Hey! Mario Marrufo here; your friendly neighborhood Marxist shaman. We’ll be learning all about shamanic Marxism later. For now, this is a statement for my youtube channel in preparation for going over my new book Introducing Pan-Dialectical Materialism [IPDM]. One topic the book keeps coming back to (and treats very seriously) is sexual harassment. This is because we live in what we could call a sexual harassment culture. No use denying it! “Yes! Of! Course we does!,” as Kesha says. Sexual harassment culture is an aspect of what we could (and many do) call “rape culture.” Kesha, for example, knows this very well! Knows all about it! We could say she’s an expert on it! At the end of the first chapter of IPDM (“The Metaphysical Spiral Staircase of Development”), I admit that I have, in the past, committed sexual harassment. And we then discuss what it took for me to stop doing that, and how we can combat it in the future. And while we don’t necessarily define “sexual harassment” (bit of a yawn, tbh—and, further tbh, makes it too easy for people to wriggle their way out of accountability for it), we identify a few examples of it in the book that we should all be able to agree on!

And the reason we’re using a “materialist” approach is that we actually want to combat sexual harassment! Not merely, e.g., make people feel bad about it! In the words of Dr. Kristina Kyser, whom we meet in the book, “we don’t want men to suffer; we want them to heal.” Because we will see/show that my sexual harassment, which, again, was a “phenomenon” of “sexual harassment culture,” had the same cause, which ultimately traces back to, believe it or not, our being cut off from Mother Earth and the spirits of our ancestors (especially the single celled ones) by the ruling classes, leading to our puke existence in class society. And so the solution for sexual harassment culture will be for the masses to get back in touch with Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors—indeed, for the masses to sexually liberate themselves, which is to say, among other things (e.g., getting real in touch with their own bodies), to get back in touch with their queerness, for we are all queer—if you think you’re not queer, that only means you’re repressed—better start unrepressing yourself! And we further show that this process (getting back in touch with Mother Earth, etc., etc.) corresponds to what we could call the “crucifixion and resurrection of the ego” (which also corresponds to what we call in the book, “synthesizing the dialectic of the subconscious”)! Because when you crucify the ego, it resurrects in a new form! A form that recognizes that it is not the center of the fkn universe! But this would be a form of social revolution, which would be the same thing as a revolution in consciousness. And the ruling (capitalist/”capital-owning”) class will stop at nothing to prevent this! And so, ultimately, we will need a “new” kind of revolutionary politics, which is why one of the subtitles of the book is “towards a shamanic, alchemical, promethean Marxism.” And, of course, we show in the book, step by step, how I reconnected with Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors, and became a shamanic, alchemical Marxist. Because Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors (not to mention “alchemy,” in a manner of speaking) are all imminently compatible with Marxism! Anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell you something! And I’m certainly not trying to sell you anything! And we shall further see that this, reconnecting with Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors, will require us to abandon what we could call the “Oedipal model” of the “hero” in favor of adopting a model of the hero we can all embody, therefore, “live out”; something more like what we could call a “muskrat hero model” as in the Muskrat Hero from the Turtle Island creation myth, who swam to the bottom of the ocean for a clod of soil to bring back to the surface and slap onto the turtle’s back which caused the turtle to grow (and grow) into the great continent it is today. Because this continent, currently known as North and South America, IS, in actuality, Turtle Island! It was Turtle Island for thousands of years before anyone ever dreamed of calling it “America” (or, for that matter, “Columbia”), and it will be Turtle Island again (which it never wasn’t!) after the name “America” has been relegated to the dustbin of history! Because we will further see/show that overcoming and evolving beyond the American “species” of false consciousness will be a necessary (though perhaps not “sufficient”) step in “evolving” out of this sexual harassment and rape culture the ruling classes have gotten us into in the history of class struggles! Because Mother Earth has already selected this “species” of false consciousness for extinction! And we will even further see that sexual harassment and what we could call “sexualized violence” (at least at the level of what we could call a public health crisis) ultimately traces back to the viewing/treating of “men” and “women” as different classes! But even this, again, ultimately traces back to our being cut off from Mother Earth and the spirits of our ancestors by the ruling classes as the condition for our puke existence in class society. Because we will see/show that the false consciousness “required” to participate in and uphold rape culture traces back to the false consciousness required to participate in what we could call the rape of Mother Earth. And so, you see, this is all connected. It all comes back to raising our consciousness. It all comes back to what we could call “de-Oedipalizing” ourselves, in the words of Deleuze and Gauttari.

We further show that sexual harassment cannot be properly characterized as a “moral” issue, because, well, westoid “morality” doesn’t reconnect us with Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors, and as we state repeatedly in the book, “your bourgeois ego-righteousness [or ‘morality’] is as filthy rags, westoid, and must be incinerated in the fires of your own personal hell!” And indeed it was experiencing the fires of my own personal hell that was, we could say, required for me to stop sexually harassing! And we shall see/show that you will have to experience the same thing! I was not bullshitting when I said I was a shaman! In the book, we “introduce” what we could call “shamanic naturalism” (plant medicine, for example, is a natural phenomenon). Believe it or not, this is largely based on the “metaphysical naturalism” of, among others, Dr. Richard Carrier, or should we say “Dr. Head-Up-His-Ass (Dr. HUHA)”? That’s his Turtle Island name, after all! It was given to him by a shaman, after all! And Dr. HUHA certainly knows a thing or two about sexual harassment, but he’d know a lot more if he read my book! He is the star of my book, after all, not unlike how Jesus was the star of The Last Temptation of Christ, and Gawain was the star of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and Winston was the star of 1984, and Michael Douglas was the star of David Fincher’s The Game, for he is the “Carrier” of one of the finest UNCRUCIFIED egos the westoid world has to offer, and the framework of “schizo-naturalism”/”schizo-realism” I use in the book, while it may owe a lot to Deleuze and Gauttari, I developed before reading their work! My schizo-realism framework comes almost directly from Richard Carrier! Specifically from ch. 4, element 15 of his book On The Historicity of Jesus, this element specifically on the phenomenon of schizotypy in the early Christian church. Well, Carrier DOES see schizotypy as a natural phenomenon, and in this section of his book, treats the implied framework of “schizo-naturalism” as a sketch or shadow on the wall of some cave somewhere and said, “hm, that’s interesting.” But now, as we say in the book, schizo-naturalism has come alive and is staring him in the face! And what does he see!? What reflects back at him!? For, as we have said, Richard Carrier knows a thing or two about sexual harassment! Because he’s done it, as we go over in the book! However, our example of Carrier’s harassment, for we only needed the one, though there are undoubtedly others, is not currently acknowledged by Carrier as harassment! And so we show how this example (of his) corresponds to an example of my own, so that nobody gets to wriggle their way out of, well, as we say in the book, being spaghettified into the microtubules, because that’s what happens, phenomenally speaking, when the ego gets crucified. Because we shall see in our example of Carrier’s harassment, how his ego was, as was Jesus in The Last Temptation of Christ, nailed to a piece of wood, so to speak, but then a beautiful angel appeared to him in the form of a rationalization, of a justification, that removed the nails from his deflated ego, kissed/sealed the wounds, carried Carrier off the ego-cross, and re-inflated the ego, and he went on with his life as if nothing ever happened, except perhaps that he passed some test. But the problem is precisely the opposite! He failed the test! Which means he must go through the test again! Because it will be further seen/shown that Carrier’s Jesus mythicism is, in important ways, very true! And, even further, we shall see that, if Jesus is a myth, that means WE ARE the Jesus myth, especially Carrier, because we are the Children of Mother Earth [COME] who must end the iron age (or “kali yuga”) and usher in what we could call “The World of Mother Earth,” which, like Jesus’s “kingdom of heaven” or “world of god,” is already “within” and “among” us! We show that liberalism (e.g., that of Carrier) is merely the clay toes in the iron feet of the statue from Nebuchadnezzar’s dream in the book of Daniel! But, of course, none of this would be possible without our framework of schizo-realism! This is why we say “Dr. HUHA gracias,” by which we mean the book is, among others, dedicated to Dr. HUHA, because, much like how in the ancient yuletide carol, “Adam lay ybounden, bounden in a bond” for “four thousand winters,” we have been ynormalized into a normalization! We have been normalized into a normalization of sexual harassment in this sexual harassment culture we live in! And perhaps it’s been a lot longer than four thousand winters! And, as we say in the book, we can’t normalize our way out of a normalization! We will have to schizo-ize our way out of it! And, for this, we say, “Dr. HUHA gracias,” for, as we say in the book, Dr. HUHA’s ego was crucified on the golgotha of “Mt. Numbah-One Pussy-Gettah” (technical term), on what we could call his own personal 9/11, so that we could be sexually liberated, by which I mean, reconnect with Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors and our bodies and our queerness! And so that we could be healed of our sexual[ized] traumas! Which involves the same processes! So that we can TRULY love ourselves and each other! And so that we could stop inflicting traumas upon others! So you see, everything comes back to combatting sexual harassment! Because everything comes back to combatting the exploitation of Mother Earth, because we will see that, in order to truly love ourselves, we will have to just as truly love Mother Earth and the spirits of the ancestors! Which is why we are sending Carrier to his inner “Ministry of Love” (especially “Room 101”), because I went there myself! And as we say in the book, this is the same thing as “going through” (and thereby synthesizing) “the dialectic of the subconscious” we mentioned earlier, and, borrowing a line from The Princess Bride, “the most exquisite of tortures” already await us within the dialectic of the subconscious! And, as we say in the book, when the dialectic of the subconscious is through with Dr. HUHA, not only will he feel like Jesus at the end of Last Temptation, having earned the right to declare “it is accomplished,” but he will also feel like Winston at the end of 1984, “his soul white as snow,” so to speak, and his heart overflowing with love for the universe he once called a moron (Sense and Goodness without God, p. 273). Because that is where we find our authentic selves, as is also depicted in the song “Only” by Nine Inch Nails! And as we say in the book, when the authentic self reveals itself to itself, it makes itself feel like throwing up! At first, anyway! But this is how we integrate ourselves! The integrated self would not commit sexual harassment (or other “sexualized violence”) because the integrated self knows what it feels like to be sexually harassed (etc.)! Because it happened to us! Of course it did! We live in a sexual harassment culture, after all! And/so the integrated self would certainly intervene in the moment, as forcefully as necessary, to combat sexual harassment if it were happening in their vicinity, if it comes to that. And this is, ultimately, how we combat sexual harassment! Because it’s how we hold each other accountable! Because Marxism is about accountability (not say, “authority”—big yawn), because it’s about reciprocity! Because, as we show in the book, there is a deeper reciprocity in nature beyond the exchange relation that came to dominate humanity in the bourgeois phase of our species, to the extent that the masses confuse the exchange relation for “morality.” Because the ultimate “accountability” is our accountability to Mother Earth! And so our shamanic Marxism must have “shamanic accountability” (to hold each other accountable to Mother Earth, because she will “decide” how long our species gets to survive on this planet!), which is what we’ve been laying out here, and lay out further in the book, and involves, among other things, scarification and what we could call “lachrymology” (basically intense crying therapy) and what we could call “bad trips”! But this is all just basic anthropology! A skilled amateur could learn about—and begin practicing—all this over the course of a year or two. Before our puke existence in class society, we were all scarified and went on “vision quests” (which included “bad trips,” and, undoubtedly, crying) to reveal our authentic selves to ourselves! And we will find that shamanic accountability is a major upgrade to the previous fatal accountability, which was allegedly practiced by, for example, our fictive “brothers,” Tyler and Luigi! But the Children of Mother Earth [COME] will have accountability one way or another! As you can see, we are already taking it into our own hands! And there’s no way to get that djinn back in the lantern, so to speak. So you can go run and tell that, westoids! Thank you for your attention to this matter!
